Berkshire Farrier Services was established in 1983 by Warwick Bloomfield Dip WCF. The company became Ltd in 2003. Warwick served a four year Farriery and Blacksmithing apprenticeship in South Wales under the much respected Mr Ray Morgan RSS and qualified in 1980. Over the years Warwick has kept up with advances in Farriery and is now a specialist in balanced shoeing and barefoot trimming. In the last ten years he has changed his method of shoeing to one that is not taught in mainstream farriery schools but is the most equine friendly allowing the hoof to develop to its correct shape and balance. As a leader in this method of shoeing Warwick has worked with farriers around the world to teach the subtleties in this method of horseshoeing and has trained six individuals who wanted a carrier change to become farriers. A growing number of owners are realising that many lameness problems can be prevented and performance enhanced by changing slightly the placement and shape of the shoe. |
